This looks like such a cool site! I started on Atkins today - have previously followed Atkins and did well, but bread found me and I've put the weight back on. Then getting pregnant didn't help - such a good excuse to eat whatever whenever.
Any good ideas for snacks will be most appreciated!

Hi, 10-15 Natural almonds even though Atkins say's no in the first 2 weeks they are really good to get you through a tough time espically in the first three days, cucumber and 1 oz (25g) cheese or an egg.
Cheers, Rach

Hi babyfat...I should have named myself that....that has been my excuse all along. I guess since my youngest is 3, I have to get myself on track...so I decided to do Atkins since results are supposed to be extreme. I am going on a vacation in February to Cancun...I want to wear my swimsuit. (Believe me, I'm expecting no miracle) I just want to be "normal". Oh...okay, I want to be cute! (and thin)
For a food idea: This morning, I heated up cheddar cheese. For some reason, melted cheese taste better. My husband thinks I'm crazy! It was really good though, and no carbs. Just a thought.
ps. Cute baby in your photo! It makes me want another! :)

I have been on Atkins a week and even though they say some of these things are a no no in the induction phase it has worked for me. I have lost 9 pounds during the first week eating sunflower seeds, peanut butter, cheese, peanuts, and beef jerky (check the carb count on the beef jerky)
