I found too that when I strayed from the diet, like at a BBQ, I felt sick and my stomach was upset for a day or two. Then I'd go back on the diet & I'd feel so much better! We have to consider portioning too, that may be contributing to that sick feeling and our bodies not able to process everything. I used to be addicted to white rice, until I started eating Brown Basmati rice. I have a hard time cooking it (lots of boil overs), so we spent about $100 on a nice rice cooker & it does all the work for us! Can use it for a ton of other things too. Just wanted to let you know that I know what you're going through. Hang in there. I guess we need to just learn to pick better foods when we're out in those types of environments where it's easy to make bad choices.
