Well...I had my baby! His name is Jameson, and I've never been more in love with anything. He was 9.1 lbs...and did not come out easily. I went in for my induction the evening of March 28th, and my water broke (on it's own) at 12:30 in the afternoon on the 29th. After 18 and a half hours, a failed epidural, some kind of weird UTI-esque bladder pain that wasn't blocked by the second epidural and only having been dilated to 4 centimeters, I had to deliver via C-section. But, in any event, he's here and I couldn't be happier.
As for my weight gain, I am disgusted with myself for letting it get this bad, but I know that being angry with myself isn't going to change anything. I'm eating as healthy as I can and trying to get as many walks with the baby in as possible, since I won't be cleared for any real exercise regiments for another couple weeks at my postpartum checkup. Coming to the realization that I'd need to lose 100 lbs to be back into what's considered "healthy weight" was a hard realization for me to make, but I HAVE to do it...not just for me, but for my son. I want to be the best possible version of myself that I can be. I anticipate that losing this amount of weight is going to take me well over a year, but I'm okay with that. Like I said, I HAVE to do it.
