Wow, it's been a long weekend. Benedict College just finished mid-terms so the kids were home all weekend. Imagine between 3-40 twenty somethings at all times for 3 days. Sheesh. My husband grilled and I ate and drank without a care. I am not going to blame anyone else. Today I am taking responsibility for what I put in my mouth.

Yesterday the gastric bypass office called. I have not been cleared for surgery, blue cross wants 6 months no nicotine, no patch, no gum, no vaping, no smoking. WTF I can't do that. I cried real tears. Today I am in a better place. First I was 230 lbs when I started this process and just by making healthier choices I lost 15 pounds. Second I have the pre operative diet from the dietician. Maybe I can do this without them. If I lose another 10 pounds I won't be eligible for the surgery. Because my bmi will be within normal (high, but normal) limits. I need to lose another 40 lbs to get my a1c within normal limits. So i joined a challenge. The biggest loser challenge that starts tomorrow. I am going to give it a month and decide then.
