If I have lost 20 pounds on my home scale, do I get to claim all 20 pounds even if the gym scale does not agree with my home scale? I did not weigh myself, eat a light b'fast, go burn 300 calories on the treadmill and gain 5 pounds in the process. . .did I? I know my shoes and clothes don't weigh 5 extra pounds, but man, that was an eye opener. I am equally motivated and devastated by the number on the scale sometimes. I vote that as long as I count my losses and gains on the same scale, it is an equal amount of weight. So there. :o)

you also have to think if you've gone to the bathroom or not too. I'd stick to one scale so you don't get upset. weigh after you've used the restroom and naked. that is the best way to do it.

Thanks, Kate. I do weigh like that in the morning before I have any food or water. Same time, same scale = most consistent idea of my progress. And I AM making PROGRESS that the gym scale cannot take away from me!!!!

Stick with your home scale. I always weigh in first thing in the am wearing my bday suit so the weight of clothes, shoe, etc is not an issue. You are an inspiration!!!!!
