Water water water. Sometimes our bodies confuse hunger for thirst. When you feel hungry, before you eat swig some water, as you may just be thirsty, so food won't satisfy your need, water will and it fills you up a bit too xx

I'm drinking about 7 large glasses of water a day. But thanks for the thought. Ed

Hi Ed, heavy legs when I ran a lot was normally down to over training. I don't know what kind of training you are doing or what kind of time you are trying to achieve. I know you have a lot of experience of doing marathons but how much experience have you got off being 66 years old and doing a marathon lol l still to this day think I can do everything that I did as a 30 year old but the sad truth is we can't or maybe l should change that to read l CAN'T lol it would be interesting to see what kind of training you are doing and what time you are working towards. Have a great weekend

Hi Thomas, It's not over training, it's diet. I'm doing two things at the same time. Re-running a marathon and losing weight. They don't go together at 66 years of age. I accept that. When I started my training I was, let me run a sub 8 hour. That is how weak I was to begin with. Now I'm looking at sub 7 hour. Maybe I can make sub 6 hour. Even at 66 years of age, Hold thumbs friend. Ed

Hi ed, glad you have identified the cause of your heavy legs, your so right about mixing the two, l always make sure l include extra fuel to off set my workouts.

Not loosing weight but exercise is going well. I've two recovery days between each run at the moment. Seems to work for a 66 year old. One day recovery doesn't seem to work. Starting on multivitamins.
