So I purchased a new scale over the weekend - one with a digital format. I have been told that the digital ones are more accurate. My previous scale was the dial kind. I'm disappointed that there is about a 2lb difference - the new digital scale showing I weight 2lbs more than dial scale. For some reason in my mind that just means I have another 2lbs to lose to catch up with where I thought I was...

Hi there! Thanks for your post with feedback on the SB food and bars. I bought a meal replacement bar but, haven't tried it yet. I wish it all were not so expensive. I think I too need a new scale! Mine is a dial and I've heard the same about digital. My sister's digital always says 2 to 3 lbs. more than my dial!! Which is why I have kept it all this time! HA! HA! Best wishes to you!!

My dial scale (I thing these are spring based and not very accurate) shows a 6 pound difference (lower) than the scale at my sports club (the sliding two weights right and left kind). I believe I read that some of the digital scales are also spring based and very similar to the dial type (not very accurate) but that was years ago.

interesting...i suppose those ones at the gym might be best...although last time i was at a fitness place and they took all my measurements and weight and such, they used an electronic scale, so maybe the newer ones are a little more reliable. Heck, at least it was only a 2 pound difference :)
