Woke at 209.2, up 1.0 after gaining water over the last few days. It seems that anything I don't prepare myself will put on water weight! Today is a 650 calorie IF day. I will fast until dinner. UPDATE: Fasted until 5 pm and enjoyed some meatloaf and cheese. Got my five miles in right afterwards.Forgot to weigh in before dinner and I’m sure I would have been lighter than this morning! Oh well. Patience. also drank 108 ounces of water and coffee today.

Are you tracking sodium and/or potassium intake in FatSecret? That may help with bloating or water weight.

Monosodium glutomate is a widely used additive in food and that holds water like glue.

Bill, I love 'fasting' it's so easy. Some make it complicated but it's simply 'don't eat'. Unless you're diabetic and then of course there are more factors involved. I think I saw a flicker of movement on my scale, in the right direction. I will check again Monday and see if it stayed :) . Enjoy your week-end. And I agree that food bought outside, no matter how great and fresh the restaurant is, will cause water retention. I notice it in my stump. The next day it's tough to get my 'leg' on. Who knew that one would have to watch their fluid intake to get their artificial leg on. Life is full of interesting and useless facts. Hugs to you and Denise.
