Deevchina's Journal, 30 Jan 10

Feeling a little down today. I've lost 8 lbs, since Jan 4th and no one, except my daughter, has seemed to notice or comment. I know I'm doing this for me and my health. It just helps when you can get some positive strokes from people. I wonder if I'll ever lose my double chin. I've lost about 2 inches from my waist, but my face still looks so fat.

Ok I'm done whining...

Keep your head up! 8 lbs is great in less than a month! In fact, many nutritionists will tell you that is very healthy weight loss. If your body experiences dramatic weight loss in a very short period of time, it will go into a sort of panic mode and retain fat in order to have the energy it thinks it needs. So that being said, keep doing what you're doing and you will continue to feel better, have more energy....and yes, people will notice! Good luck to you!

Keep the faith...I find that it takes 20 pounds for people to say something. My observations are that people are probably noticing but afraid to say anything until they are sure. If you are like me and on a constant roller coaster with weight friends/family may be relunctant to say anything until they are very sure out of love for you. The most important thing is you have lost a good amount in both weight and inches. Keep up the good work!!

Many times people notice, but don't say anything because they don't want to be wrong and insult you. Some times it takes a good 10-15 pounds (or more on some people) to notice weight loss. I am sure you look wonderful and people will notice soon.
