It was wet out today so I jogged up and down the stairs instead. lol. That was really a workout. I have a heart rate monitor that I use during workouts and my HR doing the stairs was about as high as it is when I jog. Kinda surprising. I never really worked out with the stair climber in the gym when I was member but I kinda like working out on the stairs. I think I'm going to have to work that into my daily routine now.
I was suppose to start a new challenge today that calls for doing 25 pushup a day for 4 weeks but after doing 20 on Saturday, I starting thinking that that might be overkill for me. So I quit the challenge. Doing 25 pushup a day wouldn’t bother me but I really don’t want my arms to start looking too manish. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my muscles but that is so not what I’m looking for. Slim and toned is what I want.

Stairs are great for you! They help to tone your legs in ways that running cannot. Use caution when you are going downstairs not to bang your foot down. Try to step lightly so you won't pound your knees, hips and back. For some reason the down motion is very stressful on the knee joint, but there are ways you can step down, almost making it like a squat where you can tone more and prevent the pounding. Good luck! I need to do that more often rather than skipping going outside with bad weather.

Stair climbing is a great idea for days with crappy weather, I'm going to look into doing that as well! ;D
