Greeeeeetings My Best Buddies:
Recently I wrote about the importance of making specific written goals - both short and long range. If we don't have a vision of where we are headed, how will we achieve what we wish?
In the interest of putting my money where my mouth is...I have developed more concrete goals for the Spring and beyond!
MAKE YOUR OWN LIST - YOU CAN DO IT!
CURRENT GOALS: March/April * Idiot Box weight of 166 by May 1 * Bodyfat at 27% by May 1 * Macros consistent: Average 65%-70% fat, 23%-25% protein and 9%(or less) carbs, with NET carbs always less than 20 grams daily * Consume more fiber within the daily NET carbs macro * Continue to lift heavier at gym – increase reps on heaviest weights * Continue HIIT during cardio work * Do the “crab” move by May 1 – I know what this means!
LONG RANGE GOALS: 2016 * Bodyfat at 25% or less * Idiot Box at 158lbs or less (85lbs lost) * Increased strength and flexibility
Words of the Week: “Put all excuses aside and remember this: YOU are capable.” ~ Zig Ziglar
I am dedicated, determined and diligent

That is awesome! You are right about goals...my goal is to reach 140 pounds by the end of this year...have been trying since the birth of my third child in 2007, but I was not committed. Now I have sought the help of a dietician at my doctor's office. I am accountable to someone. She is creating short-term goals at each visit. The first of these goals is to drink lots of water each day, and to eliminate 10% cream from my coffee. These are both doable, and I know they are improving my health. I find that coming on FatSecret also encourages me to think about me, and to remember that I want to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
Thank you for your post. You inspire me.

LOL - Rockiesfan! the Crab is a core body move one of our trainers created...sort of a reverse plank where you raise one leg and the opposite arm simultaneously - it about killed me last week!
|
Oh I don't like that one lol but I don't like any of the ones that are good for u! I thought the crab was a high plank walk on all fours maybe that's the bear crawl. I don't like that one either but I like the results. I think I'll do that instead of just walking around to get my 3 miles in! Bear crawling back and forth the apt! Woot woot!!

HCB, I kind of thought it was something along that line but I have faith in your strength and determination you will master it.

awesome goals HCB! Funny how we both wrote about goals. I think your goals are great and specific. Specific goals help you work harder towards them because you can really understand and see them. Awesome!

You're right on with what you're saying about goals and the need to define them, write them down. One of the things we discussed last night in a local weight loss/healthy living group....focus and goals. You have what it takes to make your goals a reality.
