have type 2 diabetes, copd, neuropathy and edema in legs/feet. I mainly eat fatty red meat, fish (sardines, kippers, mackerel, salmon) eggs, tiny bits of cheese, butter, and spices and condiments...not squeaky clean carnivore, but pretty close. I've done a 3 day egg fast and a 3 day sardine fast, and was happy with the results. I intend to do the egg fast and sardine fast monthly. also, trying to break the obsession with the damn scale. I've been known to weigh myself after going to the bathroom, to see if I've lost any weight! Ridiculous!
116.4 kg Lost so far: 10.6 kg.    Still to go: 52.9 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

Sounds wonderful. You are putting a lot of effort in. Yeah we can get a bit obsessive for sure

Someone suggested use a piece of yarn and measure yourself and then tape that piece of yarn to your wall as you watch the pieces get smaller and smaller. My husband probably told me to promise him that I wouldn’t step on the scales for a while. It’s a hard promise to keep but I’m trying. I see that thing over in the corner and think oh I’ll just see but then I remember I promise and I’m not breaking my promise.

I obsess if I get on scale everyday. Try to weigh twice a week. Put scale away so you don’t see it every day.

I follow Dr. Ken Berry, Ketogenic Woman, and a couple of others on YouTube and Dr. Sten Ekberg. I have tried so hard to begin intermittent fasting...not doing so well with that. I have insomnia and I'm up all night, so I'm pretty ravenous by morning, but if I eat anything, that makes my 4 or 5 hour eating window end by noon. Then it's a loooong time until morning again. I'm working on it... reading Dr. Jason Fung again...Thanks for all your kind comments and support.

My blood glucose this am was 90, and I'm showing deep purple ketones!
