I'm still following the LCHF one day at a time but am disappointed with myself I had a few pecans last night and it wasn't the nuts I wanted it was the salt on them. I logged them, keeping myself accountable. I really didn't want to have nuts or seed, except the raw pumpkin seeds in my morning shake, for 2 weeks or more. Next time I'm craving salt I'll just sprinkle some in my hand.
Before going LCHF I would snack on a lot of crackers and I think maybe it was a salt craving then. I'm not sure what a salt craving means, I know not eating processed foods you get a lot less sodium in your diet so maybe that's what's going on now.
I just wanted to confess and be accountable for the nuts, planning on a better day today. The time to weigh is coming soon and when I step on the scale I want to know I ate according to plan so if the numbers aren't good I'll know it wasn't me.
Well must run for now. It's Monday but it's really just another day, have a good one.

Salt craving is usually a sign of adrenal overload/stress. You may want to look at taking a supplement for adrenal support..

Just wondering -- can you have olives on LCHF? I buy a container of mixed olives every week, and I use them as snacks. I am sure it's really the salt that I'm craving -- but olives have added nutritional benefits you won't get from other sources.

the container will show carb count for that specific product. I like garlic pickles and they are low carb.

Nuts and olives are fine on an LCHF diet, be more wary of processed garbage. And FloridaAngel, you mused in a post that your scale is annoying, gee, I can't imagine why. Do you need a timeout? I mean damn, seriously, quit eating shit you know you shouldn't!

nuts are fine, if its salt you need, make some broth with a bullion cube. that will actually also help with ketosis..

How about just adding sat to your food normally? Funny side story, had a co-worker once that would get a McD cheese burger and fries, almost every morning. He would eat the burger but suck the salt & oil off of the fries and toss them, one at a time... lol
