Good Morning FS Warriors! I had almost forgotten how much fun it was to compose a long post in FS and hit a wrong key and watch it all disappear. Ughh! I didn't forget, but had a memory lapse. This Friday is the big day! Last day at work. I don't think I'll miss it. I think it will be like when I left the Navy; I just moved on to a different chapter in my life. I will miss the guys that work for me and with me, but then again, most of them are friends that I will continue to see when I leave.
Got up at 6 this morning. It was really foggy, but very nice temps for this time of year. One of the kids told me it got up to 71 today. What! That's amazing. I worked outside all day. I had a big delivery this morning while DW was still sleeping - a monster 4-wheel drive scissor lift. I just didn't feel comfortable going into retirement knowing I had to do so much work up high, and not wanting to brave ladders 30 ft up in the air. So, I got a lift with a platform that goes up 33 ft. This thing is a monster. I bought it used online and had it delivered. I didn't really think about how big this thing was, Not only was it wide (which I knew), but I didn't even think about the height; I just assumed it would be about the same height as the electric one I bought a couple years ago. I bought it from a rental place. It has a lot of hours on it, but it still runs great. I probably won't put more than a hundred hours a year on it, so it will probably last a lifetime. DW might even appreciate it when I go to put up Christmas lights. :D This one runs on gas and propane, so I can use it inside and out. It barely fit under the opening of my gym/garage door, which is 10 ft. high.
School is tough, but I'm getting the hang of it. Lots of reading, daily online participation requirements and plenty of reports to write. I enjoy the challenge. One course at a time is enough for me though. I struggled to get everything done when we went to Branson last week. There was no break for the Holiday.
My eating habits are getting back to normal. I can see that when I am busy outside, I don't binge and snack. I eat pretty healthy when I finally come in, but I'm thinking I'm going to be burning a lot more calories again in the near future.
I don't want to bore all of you guys with all my rhetoric, so I'll spare you the rest of the novel. Here's hoping you all have a great week! Toodles!
