Feeling really, REALLY frustrated! Nothing in this situation is going right. I've gained 30 of the original 63 that I lost in 2018-20, the stress level is insane with all the family stuff, and despite really, REALLY sticking to plan, I'm losing less than .5 lbs/3-4 weeks! I know any loss is a win, and at my age, it's going to be much more difficult than it as been in the past....but it sure would be nice to see the scale move, even just a tiny bit!!!

I'm 80 years old, exercise lightly, follow CICO, have no forbidden foods and average about 1600 calories per day when on plan. I've lost a little over 100 pounds. What works for me is mostly avoiding processed foods, eating lots of fresh fruits, veggies, meats & seafood. I don't concern myself about carbs, as long as what I'm eating fits into my daily allowance. I weigh & record (in grams) everything that goes into my mouth. Periodically I take a break and just eat mindfully. I've been here on FS for almost 5 years and the support & encouragement is a large reason for my success. Unless there are underlying medical issues, the secret to weight loss is burning more calories than you ingest. Good luck on your journey.
