Awesome, congratulations on getting a new bedroom suit. It looks nice is it comfy? I'm hoping to get a few new things when we get the tax money back. We need to car repairs first but if their is a bit left over I would like some new organization bins, good thread count sheets and new blinds.

It is comfy, and good quality. All the drawers are soft close, which I didn't realize until it came!

That's really cool I've never had new dressers or anything all of my dressers were a gift from my brothers who received those from my mom. Technically when I was younger I had a brand new bedroom suit but my mom took that after my parents divorced when I was younger. 🤷 I might end up getting some new furniture out of my inheritance for my father. I'm not really sure I have to spend all of it in one month it's very confusing according to Medicaid in order to be able to qualify for my medical card I have to spend all of the inheritance on approved materials within the one month or it will count against my medical care for x amount of months that I'm over the approved income allotment. I've been trying to talk with the agent about it to figure it all out they have very specific categories that I'm allowed to spend it within one of them is a vehicle the other one is furniture there's a couple other categories that have been improved such as debt relief as well as some investment opportunities such as if I was paying for college or if I was paying off an investment property which I'm not buying property but I couldn't say pay up my rent which is unfortunate but it's all very confusing and if I mess it up then I can't pay for any of my medications so I had to be very careful. in fact is all very scary so I have an accepted the inheritance because once I do if I do it wrong I won't have any medical care for 7 months and then I could go blind during that time so it'd be quite honest I'm scared about the whole thing. Honestly I would rather decline the whole inheritance just not to risk blindness from loss of medical care but that's not allowed my Medicaid either. But that's neither here nor they are nor what you were asking I am so happy that you are pleased with your new bedroom suit and it really does look lovely and score about it being soft close I didn't even know that was a thing.

Leah, your situation sounds really complicated, so sorry! I can see your point that it might not be worth jumping through all the hoops to get your inheritance. This is only our second time buying brand new furniture, besides a couch from Costco. The first time we bought really nice new furniture was a year ago, we got a set of new couches on a Black Friday sale. All this new furniture we just got is to replace most of what we lost in a house fire last summer. We had accumulated some pretty nice used furniture over the years. We just recently got reimbursed for this new furniture by insurance. Still haven't got reimbursed for most of the new appliances we bought in November. I should probably call the insurance lady tomorrow to nag her again.
