Working on not being so scale obsessed and trying to stay under my RDI. Will tweak the macros after I get more in control of my wacky hormones. Don't even want to talk about it. My scale fluctations just aren't pretty.

Love picking the boys up from school and getting to spend time with them. Not too crazy about the homework, but it is part of the package. It is amazing what they can find to argue and fight about. But that is another story. I try very hard to avoid their snacks and stick with apples, pears, and the almond snack bags (100 cals) until I get back home to eat dinner. Tonight will be pumpkin carving party at DD's. Bunch of kids plus her two, bunches of pumpkins, and lots of food. Challenge!!

Last week I took my DD's four dogs for nail clippings and one to the groomer. I'm counting that as extra exercise. This Monday I took the two young cats in to get spayed. Imagine my surprise when I was handed a $260 bill after I had been told it would be $90 for each cat. The last time I was in there, the girl told me the cats had gotten all thier shots and that was a hefty bill. Seems they were given booster shots this time. Would have been nice to have been told that first. Picked up the cats Tuesday because it was an overnight stay at the vets.

Quite a relief to get the spaying over with. Quiet tonight with no cats jumping on the counter and on top of the fridge, galloping across the floor and furniture, attacking the blinds...the list goes on. They are just tuckered out from the spaying. I am so used to having dogs before living here. Having these cats is an experience. The cats are more destructive than dogs. Last week I had to move the washer and dryer to get behind them and repair the dryer hose, then reattach it to the outside pipe. The cats had ripped a huge hole in it and it had detached from the wall. Don't get me wrong, I do love them, especially when they are asleep. Oh yeah, I counted carrying them in the carrier as lifting weights.

It is now after two am. I am such a late night person no matter how much I try to change it. Will be up at 7 anyway. Not complaining, just the way it is. Here is to a great tomorrow!!

Are the cats young? As they age they will settle down and stop screwing around. They really are nice pets in the end. Are you now living with your DD? Sounds a little exhausting...glad you are here!

Awww...your GD is at such a precious age Glen. My youngest grandchild is 3 and she will have a brother or sister in March. GKs are exhausting but so much fun!

Yes, HCB, as far as the cats. These two are 6 months old this month. I have an older cat who is 2 years old and these two young ones inspires her to be almost as worrisome as they are :) The mama cat comes in, eats, plays with her babies, relaxes, then goes outside. No, I don't live with my daugher. She lives about half a mile from me. I watch the boys at her house because it is very convenient for her and me. They can get their homework done, take their showers, do chores, etc. I help them, of course. Another big bonus for me is being around her and her hubby's dogs. Two Yorkies and two terrior mixes. They also have cats. When she comes to her home, I go to my home and unwind.

Thanks jmb3450! It was a lot of fun. Very creative pumpkin carving. No one got stabbed with the pumpkin carving hardware so it was a successful night!
