Dear Weight-loss Friends, once again thank you for your support & encouragement. I had the help of the Zuid Afrikaanse Bariatric Team, my weight-loss is combination of surgery, but the key to my progress has been listening to the Team and making sure I hit my protein goals everyday. My calorie intake ave anything between 800 to 1200 cal a week. The 800cal is not sustainable but post surgery it is the norm. I have also had the help with my psychologist, because your brain and your emotions can really be your enemy if you are not aware. I had to trick my brain with blue colored plates to help my body & my brain to realize at the same time that I am full. Go read up on coloured dishes and the effect it has on your brain. geyser.natasha I am now where you were in 2022. I did not reach my goal of loosing 40kg before my 40th birthday in Dec 2023 but I am not going to let that stop me from staying consistent. Thank you for sharing, good to know I'm not the only one.

@Mari we sometimes need to re-adjust our goals. Our bodies pace is not always the pace we want. Listen to your body & stay positive. Be mindful of your mental wellbeing as that has a huge impact on weight loss. Keep going it is worth it
