Oatmeal is such a great way to start the day, and I'm a huge fan of nuts, seeds, and PB. I'd totally be up for this one 😋

The Elvis bowl! PB and bananas are such a great combo, and your bowl looks delicious.

WindyD, Ha! Yes! Love Elvis and he and I agree on the banana and peanut butter thing. 💙

Very healthy. I love chias, cinnamon, peanut butter, and nuts. I don't like oatmeal or really any cereal except grits and I don't like the texture of bananas. The taste of bananas is okay. Never ate either growing up as we didn't have breakfast. I am very picky. Now that I am restricted on carbs I guess it's kind of a blessing. I think peanut butter banana ice cream would be good.

Your breakfast looked so good, Unity that I had to improvise (I had apples no bananas) and make one for my breakfast! The peanut butter adds a whole new dimension of delicious to the oatmeal. Thanks for sharing!

WindyD, Yes! I have made the same thing with apples! The part I really care about is texture. Oatmeal in and of itself is a bit mushy to my liking. The almonds and chunky peanut butter are what hit for me. So glad you've found a new love!

Do you use steel cut oats?

As tj mentions, steel cut oats might be more to your liking. They're more chewy and much more texture. Only downside is they take longer to cook, but well worth the time. You might like them better!

TJ and Windy, Thank you! I used the old fashioned rolled oats. Maybe I should try the steel cut! I will look into it! 🤗

That looks really good but seems like a lot of calories and fat for my breakfast. I like thick cut organic rolled oats made with much less water so the oats are still chewy and individual, but done. I am not a fan of steel cut oats though.

I wasn’t advocating for steel cut oats over rolled- just was curious
