I can't even remember the last time I stepped on a treadmill. I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but I've found that I get such a better workout walking outside. There are hills, the scenery changes (unlike a treadmill), and fresh air. If it's cold, I just bundle. I even walked while it was snowing a couple of months ago, and was probably the most refreshed I've ever felt when I got done. Unless it's below 0, you don't even feel the cold after you get going. I actually took my gloves off that day while I was walking because my hands started sweating! It's a great feeling to be by yourself with your thoughts and get yourself pumped back up and re-motivated for weight loss as you feel your leg muscles, your butt, your abs, and your back working. You can feel those calories melting right off. It's sort of empowering. :-)
