More drama tonight! Highlights: police were called, grand daughter sat on our deck, in hysterics in the rain, and refused to get in the car to go with her father; he whipped her with a belt several times, the 7 year old was crying and VERY upset by everything. After an hour, Maebie finally went with her dad. On my he bright side, I had just taken my Ambien before all this broke loose, so I might not even remember any of it in the morning.

Where is your grandson on the 3 days a week your granddaughter is with her biological dad ? Does he get to stay with mom and grandma or is he spending those days with his biological dad ? Separating one child from the family dynamic or their sibling relationship is harmful particularly if that child doesn’t want to go. Does she have half siblings on her biological dads side? It just sounds like she has such a fractured unstable family structure. That is the acting out and she has/had to many parental figures for stability. You often say they are staying with you while mom works. Unfortunately because your grandma that’s not the same as a hired babysitter. You and your husband are just two more parental figures.

Honeybuns, my grandson goes to his dad’s on Friday night and stays until Sunday afternoon. My daughter has been going with him and staying there for those 48 or so hours. There are no half-siblings from her dad. The kids are together from after school on Tuesday until Friday. Jack loved Maebie and is always excited to see her, but he does negative things to get her attention. Maybe the joint craft I mentioned in today’s post will help them to spend some quality time together.

My my my. Tragedy. Praying. This is a mountain! Those children need protection and the entire family has problems. But Debbie, please be careful. These kids are all minors and seriously, this much detail about private family matters? Asking for prayer is fine but telling everything, AND their names??? Be careful…this could bite you! Pray for wisdom.
