I have had a crazy week. First, my son was in the hospital. Thankfully, he has been recovering very nicely from his appendectomy. He is still moving slowly, but he feels good and he has returned to school. He will have to take it easy for the next few weeks, but he is doing great.
When I got him settled in back at home, my husband insisted that I should still go on my trip home from my brother's birthday. I had postponed my flight because I could not leave town with my son in the hospital, by my husband said he would be able to take care of him at home and that I really should go see my family. All in all, I think my son was happy not to have me hovering over him all weekend. :)
Between the hospital stay and the travels, I did not do my best eating this past week. I was able to keep under my totals, but I indulged in goodies like birthday cake, beer, and cheeseburgers. I was able to get several good walks in, including doing several laps of the terminal at the airport as I waited for my flight back home yesterday. :)
Today, I feel like I am finally getting back to normal. I was able to fit in a hike with a friend this morning. It felt so wonderful to push myself up the mountain and use my muscles. I will get myself back to the gym tomorrow morning.
I missed all my FS friends while I was away. I am glad to start catching back up with everyone today.
