Guess where I finally made it to today... I spent 30 minutes on the treadmill, keeping my heartrate in the endurance training zone. Then, 1.5 hours on upper body weight machines.

Zen, that happened to me in 2015, I had not had any TOM for months, got my hormones normalized with keto and here they came again, but the annoying menopause symptoms left. That lasted till I was 53 and then they left and never came back....I think it reverses the clock for you just a little bit

@Deb... I've always heard that it could do that. I had a neighbor friend back then that NEVER had one. She has very high testosterone, so much so that she has a FULL BLOWN beard she has to shave & chest hair. She did keto for a while & they came. She stopped keto & they stopped again.

We are justifiably proud of your accomplishments. I hope that you can make going to the gym a healthy habit. Pick a schedule and stick to it. I miss the gym on the rare occasions that I don't go. It has become a necessary part of my life. I have a full gym at home, but it is not the same. It is too easy to skip home workouts.

For those neighborhood gyms....you know..."Where everybody knows your name..." there is a certain camaraderie and support kind of like a neighborhood bar with smoothies instead of daiquiri's. It's fun and entertaining. We had one of those back in South Fla, less than 5 minutes from the house. Here.....nada for 30 miles.

@Penderg... Thanks! You are right about it just being different at home. I just couldn't get up the motivation or focus here. I was in that same mode as it being a part of my routine before & will get back there again. I may already be on my way...lol. I planned today as a rest day because I am sore & the hubby is off of work so I want to spend some time with him, but I can feel my body screaming at me wanting to go...lol.

@Deb... I have to travel about 24 miles round trip to get there & back. This particular one doesn't have the protein smoothie bar, probably because I live in a really small town. The only thing they have is a vending machine with water & low carb creatine drinks. 😁

Oh my, I could have sworn I replied to this a little bit ago, but it's gone 😢 Our nearest gym is 30 miles away, both ways Zen, I'm not even going to attempt to try to drive that distance for a workout. I have my bike where I trip over it when I get out of bed so it reminds me that I bike fasted, once that is done, I'm pumped up and it's easy to get into the squats and dumbell workout, natural progression I suppose. AND I hold my coffee over my head, if I want coffee, I must workout, no workout, no coffee 😁 I see nothing wrong with using an extremely low calorie/carb/fat/protein item for a reward for working out.
