This weekend has been a challenge, but I rose to the occasion! Friday, my husband smoked a brisket on his new smoker that would rival the work of a Texas pitmaster. It was so hard to keep from devouring more and more, but I was able to behave. Saturday, we had guests for the night, including dinner and breakfast. I again was able to show some restraint and not eat too much. Tonight, we had dinner guests and that was the hardest yet. I allowed myself one small piece of cheesecake that my friend had brought for dessert. Overall, I did really well staying within my calories for the day.
I did have beer and wine this weekend, and boy do those calories add up quickly. I so enjoy drinking them, but I am wondering if they are worth it. I have not been drinking much alcohol since I started this process, but I hesitate to give it up entirely. Perhaps I should consider it, at least until I get to my goal weight. Hmmm...
