Longer darker days? A lot of people really feel awful this time of year, here in Canada at least. I don’t let it bother me because I know it’s only a few short weeks and the days get longer once again. We really have to focus through the seasons and remember they don’t last forever. We all have funks. I can relate.
These are the things I do when I’m depressed:
1) get extra sleep
2) prepare a delicious and healthy meal
3) exercise

I'm not a doctor, but I personally recommend "forest bathing" for its relaxing effect.
I personally recommend sunbathing, watching your favorite comedy and laughing a lot.
Negative emotions can be overridden by positive emotions.
