Ok, I have the healthy eating this down pretty well now and I am a master at portion control, so now it is time to get the other portion of this journey to health a rollin': exercise.
The only time I have ever regularly exercised was the summers in high school when my mom and I had memberships to the Active Duty program at our work. Every day, 5 days a week, we would meet on the lawn and sweat it out together. I loved my instructors and the group we worked with- it made exercise social and fun.
I was determined to do the same thing coming to UNC, but my work had me so busy from 9am to night. I tried Tae Kwon Do, but my lack of coordination really shines/embarrasses me and I am not all that interested in the sparing part. I will probably go back with Mary once classes start up again, now that I am based on that side of campus, but its only twice a week and one hour if I ditch after the cardio section.
I need a real plan that works for me.
Options: 5K training- $75 for 10 weeks meeting Wednesday evenings at 7pm, Saturday mornings at 7am and running daily on my own. UNC classes- $40 for group exercise classes Mon-Thurs. Insanity DVDs- Already purchased to use at home.
The 5K group doesn't start until July, so I am going to try doing the Insanity DVDs again before I sign up. If I can't stick with it, I need to find something I won't quit.
