How do you stay motivated to lose weight? I'm starting to slack off now. Any ideas?

I honestly think it has nothing to do with motivation and a lot to do with habit. As a family we have gotten into the habit of going for a walk or the kids ride their bikes in the evening before it gets dark and if it's too cold I get on the elliptical or do a 1 mile happy walk YouTube video. I am for 10k steps because it means I have to put in some effort to get there and I added 30 min of intentional exercise even if I already hit 10k. Healthy eating has become something I do to motivate the kids to try new things and even though we have sweets in the house they have to limit me, which they love doing!

@stridingtohealth - yes! "Motivation" is not enough - it's a choice, a habit, like brushing your teeth...because NO ONE is motivated all the time. You just decide to do it. I am on year 3 of this. Motivation just isn't a factor. It's about your health. Ps - it's a bit mean to insinutating that "seeing obese people" should be motivation. Bear in mind that there are people of all weights, sizes, mental health issues, eating disorders despite sizes etc, on this app. It's unkind to infer that their struggles should be your motivation.
