DottyGumboots's Journal, 02 Apr 22

Today is officially the end of my 12 week Fast 800 kick-start. Stoked with the results, 19.8kgs gone and 17cms off the waist. This was my experience:
▪︎ Was most comfortable eating between 12pm & 6pm
▪︎ Had 900-1000 calories a day to meet recommended protein levels as a vegetarian
▪︎ Ate wholefood... macros generally... 30% Carbs, 30% Protein, 40% Good fats.
▪︎ Didn't do additional exercise, however, my energy levels raised considerably!
I have a ways to go, 25-30kgs. Discovered the app MeThreeSixty this morning (terrifying, but great) which shows my body fat as 40.7 (mostly visceral). So now I will move to adding in exercise and slowly increasing my calories, first by 2 days a week - kinda a reversed 5:2 - still 1000 calories 5 days a week and RDI (or thereabouts) 3 days a week. Will still be doing the TRE and focus on wholefoods. Hope this helps any other Fast 800ers out there. 😊

Oops, an 8 day week there at the end 😅. I will start on a 5:2 and after 6 weeks or so move to 4:3 on so on until I have met my goal weight and am maintaining.

That's incredible! I'm struggling to maintain 1400 at this stage. I'm truly in awe. The 4kms a day walking keeps me on track. When I read these comments it makes me try harder. Go you 👌

Thank you for your comments and support 🙏. This way of eating just seems to have clicked for me. Wow! 4kms a day! I've increased my calories to 1,750 for the two days a week and really enjoying a bit of moderate exercise.
