I keep my Journal public, not that I use it a lot but working on that. I really want to keep it public and with that said please do not post to my Journal as to why you feel low carbing is the wrong way to go. It works for me and that is what matters. 10 years ago I lost 152 lbs doing this very thing and kept it all off but about 20lbs. As of date I am down 21 lbs from where I started and I plan on living this life style for the rest of my life.

I just realized today that others can post to my Journal and I think that is awesome, but please if your on another diet and it is working for you, please note that mine is working for me and at 44 years old and having done this before I know what I am doing .....thanks and good luck to all no matter what diet you are on.....=)

It's fanatastic that you achieved such a great accomplishment 10 years ago, and even better that you are back to it again and getting such awesome results. I also was on atkins before, 8 yrs ago, but I gained all my weight back plus ten pounds. How did you manage to keep from gaining very much back over the ten years in between? If the question is too personal, please forgive me. I don't mean to be intrusive.

Not at all exemplaryangel....Running 5 kids, running my own business, divorce, remarriage,raising a step daughter, raising three of my grandchildren for 2 years. I was just busy. I lost my dad 4 years ago and retired and all the kids and grandchildren moved away that is when I started noticing the lbs coming back on so I knew I had to do something before it got out of hand. Besides that I never really went back full blown carbs, I kept an eye on them but there were times I enjoyed the cake and ice cream, soda and sweet tea was fast becoming my weakness. It really is mind over matter, we can do anything that we set our minds too and I am a very determined person :)
