Nice glucose reading. Is that typical for you now a days? I found that if I only eat dinner at around 7pm then wake up the next morning and test my sugar around 5am, I will have an over 100 reading. What I started doing to combat this was to drink a protein shake or eat some peanut butter right before bed. Then when I wake up I am always under 100. When I fast, my blood sugar seems to skyrocket. The best thing I have done to control my sugar though, is walking for 30 minutes 5 days a week and doing full body weight training for an hour, 3 times a week. At first I tried to lower it with diet alone, but that didn't work for me. Congrats on reclaiming your life!

I'm retired, so my readings are 2 or 3 hours later than yours. I've been off my Sugar Meds for 30 days now, and I would say my counts are averaging around 105. Counts vary and most of the times, I can't really figure out why I have high or low counts based on what I ate the day before. Doctor told me my blood work showed excellent sugar readings. He even wrote a WOW next to the readings so he wouldn't forget to talk to me about it. Said my numbers don't even show any previous sugar problems. I agree with you with the walking. I've noticed a significant difference since I started walking. Thanks

That is fantastic! It feels great to be in control and off your meds, huh? My story is similar. Your doing great! Plus you will find that as you continue lose the excess body fat, your sugar will also improve. Plenty to smile about here. :)
