Chippymimi's Journal, 12 Apr 11

Day 9 with 61 to go. So today I am exhausted. I mean absolutely tired.Had an unrestful night's sleep last night. Caffeine will have to be my friend, perhaps a quick nap? I will be gone most of the day as I have a meeting before my course. The meeting will be to prep for a project due next week. A friend asked me to lunch today, I shyed away from the meeting because the friend in general does not make good food choices. I am finding that I am slightly envious of people who get their food fried, covered with cheese, and with a side of other deliciousness. I continue to remind myself that its not about enjoying yummy foods which are terrible for my health, its about making delicious healthy choices. Once I am in the routine of having healthier food be the standard, the junk food will not be as appealing. I got on the scale this morning- shouldn't have done that. My weight popped up a fraction of a pound (as I knew it would), it is still disheartening. So I have decided that I will not get on the scale until Monday (I may need to hide the scale from myself :) ).

"Dieting" is requiring more of an effort now that the newness has worn off. Still sticking with it! One more day of healthy eating is one step closer in a healthier direction for a longer life with higher quality.

Thanks! Because I am so tired today I have decided to be PROactive rather than REactive. I am writing down what to eat when, and prepacking food. Less room for bad decisions. Bonus- I will be stuck on campus for 8 hours. So I will bring food, and eat what I pack. Less room for eating while tired. Also to be welbehaved I worked out before doing anything else. The excuse of "too tired" will not get me from achieving any goals :). Here's to doing the right thing when all you wanna do is sit on your butt :). Lets keep rockin the scales!
