There are so many things I CAN'T do with my 6-year-old grandson: run, get down on the floor (because it is so hard to get up), jump on the trampoline. I'm thankful that I CAN go in the pool with him in the summertime. When he is here, he wants me to be doing everything WITH him, so we mostly do things like playing with kinetic sand, playdoh, this air-drying clay I got him, having Nerf gun battles, reading, having scavenger hunts. I'm 67, but I still hope to get to the point where I can do more of the "active" things with him. Good for you, getting prepared before the grandkids arrive!
