Let the journey begin. I have to retrain myself how to eat but with a major learning curve. I am an extremely picky eater and I cannot eat most vegetables.

I have been overweight for most of my life and I am sick of it. I'm sick of hating how I feel, I'm sick of hating how I look, I'm sick of not being the person I feel that I am. I feel trapped in my own body and it kills me every day.

I hope I can stay motivated and not fail (again) at losing some weight and getting healthier.

Welcome. Some veggies I'll only eat cooked and some I'll only eat raw. For my kids with texture issues I blend the he'll out of them & sneak them in sauces they like. It's just a suggestion. ❣

I’ve been eating more veggies and have discovered I like avocados after adding some in salad. Baby steps

I hear you on the veggies been mostly a potato and green beans person most of my life but with getting serious about my weight issues decided too experiment some. First thing I did was go to the pros i,e, restaurants that have good reviews about their veggies and found out when there cooked right there damn tasty. Now love me some steamed broccoli or roasted Brussel. poke around you might surprise yourself.

I think that after watching the processed foods, I realize that all the additives are what keeps us from really getting the true flavor of veggies. I used to hate anything but iceberg lettuce, but now much prefer spring mix which has young tender leaves of different kinds of lettuce and spinach. Love chip and dip? Eat that dip on raw broccoli. Sauté or steam your veggies instead of cooking them to death. A lot of the flavor escapes when over cooked.
