My wife is the Asparagus Queen JC👸💚 Prep the asparagus by cutting off the woody stem part, then peel the stringy outer skin. To cook, bring a scant 1/8“ of water to a boil in large saute pan. Put asparagus in a single layer & cover. Strain water when just barely tender. Return to pan (no heat), add butter/olive oil & season to taste. For extra greeness, you can place in an ice water bath for 30s to lock in green.
