So I was actually doing better on my calorie count yesterday than I thought, until the late night Dairy Queen Blizzard. (Such a very rare treat for me.) I did break my rule, I both cheated on my diet, and on my exercise in the same day. But surprisingly I don't feel guilty about it. I'm on my period (sorry guys, but I've passed the point of thinking that talking about something, which effects energy levels and appetite so drastically for us ladies,is gross or TMI. You'll have to either ignore these particular journal entries, or get over yourselves.) So I was craving something chocolatey, and after 9 hours straight at work, and still working out the kinks in the children's school transportation, my energy was sapped. My energy will be back in a day or two, and I know it. So I'm just not going to let it bother me. Saturday we'll get out and hike again. I'm hoping the weather is good so I can get out for a bike ride on Sunday.

Tonight I'm hoping hubby picks up something healthier for dinner, otherwise I may have to just buckle down and make myself a turkey sandwich and stick to veggies and hummus. The start of the school year is always a fun time for me, with three children at three different schools. At least my special needs child is actually enthusiastic about her new Middle school this year. That helps a lot. But I'm back to the cramped evening schedule of keeping them on track with homework, chores, dinner, and we're losing daylight fast. I'm looking forward to changing the clocks, in hopes that I can still wake up at the same time I already am, and start taking my walks in the morning, at least until the weather turns. Once it does, that gymn membership will be a necessity for me to keep going on this journey. I really am determined I will not have to start over again this coming spring.

I have been craving a banana split ice cream so badly these past few weeks. I've been so good all summer long lol. I hope you get everything sorted out :)
