How many of you hear, “I don’t know how you do it. I couldn’t do it”? How many of us thought the exact same things? The key for me was to just start. Once I started seeing results, it was only then that I decided to keep going. I learned how to say no and realized that changing my eating habits was one of the few things that I could control. Do I want candy, cake and ice cream? Of course I do. However, I know where those treats take me and if I just say no, I don’t have to fight the cravings. When they come up, I can still say no! Much like the alcoholic that knows they can never have just one drink, I’m like that with treats. This year I have taken my power over food back and I’m incredibly proud.
