Lots of big stuff coming up!
Flying out of state Friday to spend the next week with my partner's family. They're "old fashioned" if you get my meaning and I'm just hoping they are respectful. Pretty much finished wedding plans for December and I'm so happy I kept my promise to myself not to make it complicated. Courthouse, then a picnic potluck with whimsical dress encouraged. Inexpensive, relaxed, and communal - much better than stressing over details.

The wedding plan sounds wonderful! If your partner's parents can get past their ideology, they'll meet a beautiful person and things will go well. If they can't, it's not about you. Some people are just programmed to reject anything different.
