LizaGilbert's Journal, 20 Aug 14

Hi guys, need some advice. I'm in sales, so I'm out on the road a lot seeing clients also having to take clients to lunch and entertaining. I find it rude to take a client to lunch but then u have to say oh sorry I'm not eating. Today for example I had a trip to humansdorp and I happen to have to have to wait for the client for almost 30 min at a coffee shop. What are health food choices. I bought 2 droe wors sticks and nuts and had that while waiting. Would it have been a better option to have a bread or a salad with bacon and cheese?

Hi Liza, it's always difficult when eating out, but there are easy options, like a protein with salads or veg, stay away from bread or any carb. I see you eat slimmers yoghurt etc. I would recommend buying The Real Meal Revolution by Tim Noakes, it changed the way i look at food and fat. Been a Low fat, slimmers shopper all my life. No More! Good Luck!

Thanks for your advice I see now what u mean. My yougurt breakfasts which I think are good breakfast choice are actually packed with carbs. Even my Woolie salads have so much sugar in. My sugar in take in my beetroot salad is actually shocking cause its just plain cooked beetroot with no added sugar. Going to try go for more healthy options. But tell me what's that Plato think that the is all the rage now

I would suggest following the LCHF (low carb, high fat) diet. As i mentioned before, purchase the book, The real meal revolution and you will easily be able to control what you eat and how. Tim Noakes explains it really well.

i havent read the book but i follow my own version of a LCHF diet and it works pretty well...the internet is really really helpful, if you take just one day, one day to thoroughly research about LCHF eating styles then im sure it can work wonders for, im down 15kg already....beets are naturally high in sugar and is not something you can really eat alot of but from what ive heard, the book Tan is talking about is apparently the top selling book in SA

Salad is always a good option, especially the leafy green salads - without dressing since you never know what all is in the dressing
