first - 10 km is daunting, till you do it! trust me, it's the best feeling to finish! good luck and take it easy if you haven't been training too much. Second - your "bf" clearly doensn't understand what weightloss is about. A year ago I never thought I'd be 90 odd kg. and by dec i WILL be 85! keep at it and keep positive - you doing it for only one person! yourself!

Tomorrow is the big Walk day. Ate a lot of wrong stuff today but managed to stay with in my allowed daily limit . bead is my downfall, I'm trying really really hard to avoid it but its still my comfort food I turn to when I'm down. Will let u guys know how it the walk goes tomorrow.

Liza - if you had bread today, that's a good thing. You need to carbo load for a 10km, even if you are trying to loose weight. Go get it girl!

I hope today went well Liza. I hope you were able to show that 'boyfriend' of yours that you are indeed worth it. That you are indeed capable of doing something against the grain. That you are indeed able to live life for the purpose it was meant to be lived. If you eat too much bread, the better approach would be to try and get a low carb bread mix, such as Atkins, or something similar. While you can incorporate carbs into your diet, if they are your downfall, I say it is safer to eliminate them all together to have that temptation taken away from you. It will take a week or so, and it should be gone.

Hi everyone, I'm so proud of myself I did it! 10km in 1.15min can't believe it was actually so enjoyable. Must say my two friends that walked with me really encorraged me and it was just afantastic feeling to compete something I thought I could never do. Thanks Inn from tomorrow I think I'm actually going to try and follow the Atkins diet. I was thinking of doing the fit for life diet but I'm not a huge fan of the normal fruits like apples, bananas and pears. I'm more in to the exotic stuff and they are horrible expensive at this stage as they not really in season . tomorrow I will be sticking to my 4km walk every week night. Today was a great day.
