I’ve been scripting out my meals for the day before the day begins. Today I have about 1350 calories scripted so far which give me room to “ad-lib” an extra 300-500 calories if I feel hungry. It’s been working pretty well. Anyone else do this?

So I had my first ad-lib at lunch and decided to use leftover spinach and make creamed spinach...only a single serving. But I used all purpose flour for a roux and then half and half, both of which have way more carbs than my original plan. Holy crap it was delicious...I didn’t have to change my dinner plan, salmon and broccoli, but I did cut out my snack of pecans and walnuts since I hit 40g of carbs. After dinner we’re sitting at only 1150 calories which leaves me plenty of room for a nice snack of pepperoni and cheese or pork rinds or something zero or close-to-zero carbs. Success for another day!
