Felt as if I had to force myself to eat yesterday...didn't feel really hungry at all for most of the day, just a very mild pang at one point. My energy level was good, although I likely overdid it by walking too far and then having to walk all the way back...2 hours in all! On the way back, I did feel a little fatigued, but ate when I got home and felt better.

I'm glad I started this on my vacation week (which for once I decided to make a stay-cation, instead of running around like crazy all the time!). But I'm concerned about how I'll fare when I return to work...which often is stressful, and sometimes can be irritating, and also full of obstacles and temptations! I'm hoping that my ability to tolerate irritation is better without carbs (I have noticed that my ability to stay cool is lessened by eating high carb items like candy, cake or cookies).

Oh well, I'll take it day by day. No need to worry about that now.

Another interesting thing that I'm noticing is that I haven't felt motivated to shop at all...I probably buy at least one clothing, make-up, or other item a week. This past few days I don't feel any need or desire. Could that shopping habit just have been the carbs talking?!! I am feeling like unloading stuff...I'm going to do some purging Spring cleaning today.

It's going to be an all-new me!

Enjoy the new you! I think it's a good idea to start on your staycation week. Gives you some time to adjust to things & extra time to plan food for at work. Go ahead & do some spring cleaning/purging - I always think that's a good thing. As far as going back to work the only advice I can give is that I have found it best to always have a plan for lunches & snacks plus a backup plan for when things get out of whack! Safe snacks for emergencies. It does get easier. I think my system went into shock when I started Atkins - LOL. I haven't been shopping either - maybe we know we are changing and are waiting to see what the new us wants?!
