Hey, since July 3rd, I've actually "maintained" my weight under 206. Mostly, it fluctuates from day to day between 205.4 and 205.8. I'm pretty happy about that! After my last fast, I just continued to go up and up until I was totally out of control again. This time, once I put back on the 6-7 pounds post-fasting weight (water retention and food in digestive tract), I've held it steady for a whole week! I think that might be a record for me! No kidding. If left to my own devices, I'm either losing or GAINING - rarely just staying the same!
This is encouraging, because if I can maintain for a week at around 2,000 calories, I should be able to LOSE when I reduce the calories next week! I think I'll "officially" shoot for 1,800 calories a day, but I will strive to keep that more in the 1,600's range.
The key factor will be cutting back on the "desserts/snacks." With the birthday cake and the 5-Cup Salad all gone now, that shouldn't be nearly as hard! I need to buy my husband some "dessert" foods that HE likes but that I don't really care for - Like Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies, Triple Ginger Cookies, Gingersnaps - stuff like that. I can resist those things any day of the week and twice on Sundays! Putting them on grocery shopping list now!
