I am following a one day meal plan. I eat mostly salads because it's summer time. I am working out as well. I am running 4 days a week and doing 20 minutes yoga. During the month of June I hit my first plateau. I was in the 183 lbs to 181 lbs for 10 days because I was eating the same meal portions every day and that was keeping me at that plateau. I had to reduce the intake and do some fasting in order to get back to reducing 2 to 3 lbs per week.

I am healthy. I eat very nutritious salads with some protein, either, eggs, chicken or beef. My salads are composed of Kale, arugula, spinach, chard, tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers, sometimes I add some pecan halves. I make my dressings with grated garlic, ginger, a teaspoon of balsamic vinegar, another spoon of dijon mustard, half a lime, and extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper to taste. I accompany all my meals with half an avocado.

I have black coffee in the morning, I drink black and green tea during the day and I also have about 2 liters of water. I occasionally have a couple of beers or a glass of red wine to finish the day, but I am thinking about cutting down my alcohol consumption for the time being until I get to a decent weight.

I do HIIT when I run. I live in San Francisco, CA and as you know there are a lot of hills throughout the city so I a have chosen a route that includes three steep hills with almost no traffic where I can run as fast as I can in order to get my heart rate up. I do some walking for 1 hour.

I have bought a kettlebell and two dumbbells and I am working my shoulders and legs as well as my triceps. There is still a lot to do, a lot of fat to lose before I can settle on a meal plan that can sustain me for the rest of my life. A lot of modifications, changes, but it is good because I am learning a lot about my body and how it works. I am learning how to cook, how to choose vegetables when I go to the market. I have discovered that knowing my macros is important. I used to eat a lot, thinking that more is better without knowing that all that excess protein was being converted and stored as fat. Anyway, so far so good.
