My monthly infusion was yesterday. #3. I made sure that the nurse slowed down the delivery of the plasma. Consequently, I was there for 5 hours. So let's talk hunger and infusion. Alot of times you may feel sick while getting infused with plasma. Which is why I slowed it way down. I had a horrible reaction last month. But mostly it's boring 😴. I will eat from boredom. There is plenty of food for us in our Cafe area. Thank Goodness it is generally "decent" ready to eat snacks. The first thing I grabbed was Nutri Grain bar. That's comfort food for me. After I ate that I slept for the next 2 hours. I woke up and drank my Propel and decided I was going to get a mini can of Pepsi. I love these cans! Only 100 calories. I get my Pepsi fix and am happy. Then I spent the rest of the time playing games and watching videos on my phone because I forgot my book 📖. Bummer. But it was a success! I didn't have a reaction! Plus I didn't eat myself into oblivion because I was bored!! I could have done so many things! I could have brought junk food from home to eat. I could have eaten 5 Nutri Grain bars..urp..I didn't!! Yay I rock! So do you all! We all can do (less weight/more good nutrition/just say no to junk food/healthy for life) this!!! WE ROCK!!!

I donate plasma 2 twice a week to help others. im glad to hear that you didn't have a reaction ❤ and I'm proud of you for eating healthy.

I have an iPad and my whole life is there. Books, music, all the millions of articles I have earmarked, games. I have a three hour flight coming up soon so it will be over and done before I get my head out of my book. I’m saving the last 100 pages for the flight

Soups and salads are always good. So is snacking on celery w/peanut butter. Or, just snack on veggies & ranch dip, etc. Take care, think positive, and above all, have faith/confidence in yourself. We all can do this. =)
