ladytanker's Journal, 23 May 21

It is a great Sunday night for me. The day was filled with many things that I was catching up on. I went up again in weight. Now I want to say it is behind those work outs. that is what happen when I do them like I suppose to and it is also the reason I stop doing them. Then the weight seem to drop. Someone need to tell me what they know or think is going on here. You that are working out, Is this what suppose to happen should I stay the course. I do know that even though the weight went up, there seem to be a change in the body shape. I've been doing well with it. I want to keep it going. I hope this day has been a great one for all of you and that you are doing good with your changes that you are making. as for me I'll keep moving....

yep. that's what happens. I bounce like a yoyo because of the weight training. workouts break down tissue which holds fluid. go by how u feel and clothing the mirror. it levels out eventually. keep going.

I always lose a few pounds when I stop working out. Im guessing it's because of losing muscle mass.

@ Hebrews1035 and @ Diana1234, Thank you both for the come back. I feel better knowing that I'm doing something good. and that what I asked is not something that no one else has experience lol. So I will try hard this time to stay the course. You guys take care.

Remember that the number on the scale only tells you what you weigh, not what you're made of. If you're seeing a body shape change you like, stay the course, even if the number is going up on the scale. =) When people look at you, they don't see the number!

Muscle weighs more/takes up less space than fat. So even though you weigh more, you will get smaller and healthier.

True about the scale and she_loves comments! It always feels like a win when the number goes down, and it is, BUT so is noticing the body changes, how you feel in clothes...or bending over to tie your shoes! You are doing it, congrats!

My son works out 2 1/2-3 hours every other day. Including one hour of cardio. He lifts, squats, arm work. The whole nine yards for 1 1/2-2 hours then 1 solid hour of running on the treadmill. He usually gains 5 pounds the morning after exercise days. Talk about frustrated!! But he is at the point he can see muscles appearing through the fat he wants to be gone. He is trying to lose 60 pounds and according to FS and his caloric deficit he should be losing 1-2 pounds a week. It has not happened yet. He is stuck in exercise limbo, but he won’t give up!!

Wow you guys are just awesome. Thank you for looking out for this girl. I just want to stick with something that I know does work and not give up because of the scales. you are all so right in what you've said. I remember years ago I worked hard with daily workouts. after working a job that was hot and tiring. I wanted to do something about myself and then I saw the payoff. I actually had gotten so small I didn't like the look of myself(the size didn't suit me). I can deal with the weight where I am. I just want to challenge myself to reach that goal that I had hope to reach what? 3 or 4 years ago lol. and I'm not there. But I see hope, I just needed to make sure that I keep with the exercise. Thanks again . I won't give up either.
