although my profile says 1800 calories daily, i am actually aiming for 1500 max. i do go over once in a while depending on what I have & whats available to me. once in a while its okay to have a little more or splurge on something. i find that i can portion control rather than cut many things out completely & i still see results. maybe a little slower but thats ok. Its hard to cook for myself living at home so my bfast & lunch are usually by me & dinners made by my mom. I have substituted pasta for corn pasta & any bread i have is multigrain or healthier breads. The more i cut things out the more ill crace them and overly eat.
