Ah Hump Day :)

Awesome sunshine out there and I am stuck in the office but only til 3pm. I did promise my mum to call her straight after work, so I guess I have to find a sunny corner in my garden while I chat to her.

The doc on Monday put me on an iron supplement as my ferritin levels are really low. apparently 13 is normal, I am at 5. So giving blood in March is out of the question :(. Apart from that we decided to just wait and see what is going to happen with my Lady Times. It has happened once ( the month long episode), and that might be it. I am not one for taking tablets and if I can avoid taking hormomes, I will happily do so.

My car nearly past its M.O.T. 'Only' the handbrake failed ( rear breakshoes are already replaced) and it needs 1 new tyre. Not bad for a 15 year old car with nearly 200000 miles on the clock :).

Another Kettlebell session tonight. I hope once my iron levels are up again I can get back to using the heavier weights. On Monday I had to give my 10's to LB and nick his 8kgs. After 10 minutes I was just getting to lightheaded and breathless. Booh! I like being strong. It does make me more confident, more than anything else!

9 more sleeps and than my girly is home. I really can't wait. Its only for a weekend, but it will be bliss.

There are so many other things on the agenda for this month: we are going to see a play this friday performed by the locals in the next village, on the 12th we go to Cheltenham for the horse races( and meet up with LBs brothers and drink lots of Guinness) and the following weekend we are of to London all expenses paid :)

Life is good :)

If your ferritin levels are low, is your hemoglobin also low? They usually go hand in hand. And it's not the lack of iron that makes you tire easily, it's the lack of hemoglobin in your red blood cells which you need iron to produce. Don't expect to feel instantly better because the life cycle of a blood cell is something like 30 days so it will take a few months before enough blood cells are replaced with new ones that are healthy and full of hemoglobin. But you will feel better eventually! I do hope your one month issue was a one time thing. My problems seem to have been the swan song of my ovaries because I've now been in "menopause" for 3 months. It took more than a year since the first craziness appeared but here it is. Maybe "the end" is not too far in the future for you, too. That's great about your car being in such good shape. You've obviously taken very good care of it along the way and the assembly line must have been in tip top shape the day it was made! Enjoy your time with your "girly" :) Is Cheltenham the same place as Cheltenham Spa in the Cotswolds? I visited there with my husband on our honeymoon as he had family that lived there. Memories!

I love that Evelyn was able to help with some of this stuff! Awesome on the car for you, Glen and me. My Ford Exploder (from the rollover days) is a 2000. New oil every 3000 miles and thinking the assembly line was right on because I have been very happy with this vehicle and it is a good thing because it looks like I will be keeping her for a while. Just at 105,000 miles so I'm looking forward to making it to 200,000. I'd rather spend my $$ on more fun things than a car - like my house! :) London! Lucky you. Say hi to the Queen for me!
