Um...just out of curiosity... what would happen if a person where to eat, let's say, 1000 calories over their daily intake?
I'm just asking out of curiosity, it's not like I ate a whole cake or something.

you'd maybe be a bit bloated for a few days. depending on how much exercise you do it may also not be a Biggie. basically if your calories average out across the week and the average, you should be ok. it would be a totally different thing if you were eating 1000 over every day. but once in a blue moon won't suddenly make you gain 10kg. you may retain 1-2kg of water, but by getting right back on track the next day you should be back to normal within a couple days.
