Advice Please: The MIM taste metallic to me. Is it the flaxseed itself or the baking powder? I want to eat these so bad as they really do mimic bread, but the metal taste makes me want to gag. Has anyone else experienced this?
I wonder if it could be my flaxseed, like going bad or something. I've had it sealed in a ziplock bag in my fridge about 2 weeks now. it doesn't smell funny or metallic, but something in those MIM's is really metally.
Any advice, would super appreciate it,

Hi, do you mill the seeds yourself? I use a coffee grinder to turn the seeds into flour - I use the 'flour' straight away. I like to cook mine six x the recipe, bake in the oven using greaseproof baking paper to line the baking tin, cut into 6 and when cooled store in a plastic airtight container. I haven't noticed the metal taste. But I do know that curry powder and cocoa powder are high in iron because of the grinding process.... maybe this is the same with ground flaxseeds?

hmmm my mims are ok. It just a taste I had to acquire I think.... I put sf jello in mine like a tsp of it and they are yummy with butter or cream cheese. :) I have toasted mine too and its good also.

What type of flax meal are you using. I know there are 2 kinds, Golden and something else. The Golden has a lighter and much better taste than the other one.
