Today marks the following for me:

1 month smoke/nicotine free.
1 week wine/alcohol free.
Now if I could only get to fat free 🤣

I started OneYearNoBeer in October... what an amazing difference it's made to my life. Energy, early mornings, great skin, clear decision making, I am present and in a far happier mood.

I am so happy for you! Well done on a great start. Your body is already stronger for the changes you have made and rest assured the rest will follow. Your body will detox from cigarettes and alcohol and start telling you what it needs. I quit smoking a year ago after several ( read Many, many) attempts. At first I avoided drinking lest it trigger nicotine cravings. But then I started feeling so good ( physically and otherwise) that I didn't feel like drinking even when I felt I could handle it without smoking. The positive body image of no longer feeling like a smelly smoker and a gasping ghoul, automatically made me feel that I might be able to do some light exercise. This in turn triggered the idea that perhaps eating better ( and losing weight) would help me do said light exercise more effectively and improve my appearance and mood. And now here I am feeling stronger and lighter and wanting to try more. All the best to you. Keep strong.🙏🏾
